Recording from camera to VCR

ok,uve gone OUT of cam and IN to VCR player?,then press play on cam and record on VCR,u should see whats recording as long as your on your normal video channel

You will need to borrow or buy a DVD-Recorder, either way it's best to follow the manuals instructions on how to connect your camcorder (external device) to the DVD Recorder for Recording to DVD. Most camcorders come with a set of AV (audio/video) Cables for this purpose. On your camcorder you will find a little rubber door that houses the terminals to connect your cables to. Depending on how old your camcorder is you will find a Yellow (video) and a White (audio) and on the newer ones that have stereo capabilities...you will have a Red (audio), all these connections are video and audio Out-Inputs and should be connected to the Video and Audio "In" terminals on the back of the DVD Recorder. Now make sure your battery is fully charged (It's best here to use an AC Adapter for your power supply instead of your battery, which also usually comes with your camcorder if bought new.) and that your VCR-C tape is loaded and completely re-wound. Now if you want to watch this on your TV while you are recording to DVD...you'll need another set of AV Cables that come with a new DVD-Recorder, and hook these cables on the Out-terminals on the back of the DVD- Recorder and the other end of the cables to your TV's Video/Audio-IN terminals on the back of the set. Finally...Set your camcorder switch for Playback, turn on the DVD Recorder, And turn on your TV. Now you can go ahead and record all your VCR-C tapes to DVD! Any other questions? You need a download hardware from Pinnacle. www.pinacclesys.com You may use a simple one PC/TV card with software. If you are from India, you may get several options like www.monarch.com etc.

I actually connected it straight into my VCR and used the line 2 input and I was ready to record. I would still like to know how I could hook it up to my computer so I could burn a CD instead. Have any ideas?

check a/v imput on camera settings, make shure that u have audio alsso conected, tried to use diferent output (DVD), make shure is playing .,

If you hook your VCR up to the RCA jacks on the front of the DVD recorder, push 002 on the remote to use the front input jacks. (001 if you hook your VCR up to the rear input jacks)

Push record on the DVD recorder, and push Play on the VCR.

When you push play on the VCR, you should be able to see the movie being played on your TV. If you cannot, make sure your RCA cables are good and hooked up correctly.

That's all you have to do, so if it's not recording I would try to take the unit back for an exchange.

You use the mini to triple RCA cable with the camera and go into the menu and make sure you are on A/v out instead of headphones. You just hit play on the camera and record on the VCR and Whala, it's done.

if you are using rca cables let the cam playing something you recorded and try find the channel on vcr(on its tuner).it would be helpfull if you post a picture of your cord

The following Models can be used as a recorder to record from a VCR, TV or another Camcorder. 2004 - SC-D107 2003 - SC-D5000, SC-D27 2002 - SC-D180 Recording In Player Mode 1. Connect the camcorder to the VCR or TV with the AUDIO/VIDEO cable (provided) (to the A/V Outputs on External Device) 2. Set the power switch of the camcorder to PLAYER mode. 3. Turn on the VCR or TV. 4. Insert the blank tape with protection tab closed into the camcorder. If you want to record from a connected VCR, insert a recorded VHS tape into the VCR. 5. Press the MENU button, turn the MENU DIAL to highlight A/V and press the ENTER button. 6. Turn the MENU DIAL to highlight AV IN/OUT and press the ENTER button to select AV IN. "AV IN" and picture appears on the LCD monitor. OUT : Releases the INPUT mode. 7. Press the START/STOP button to set the camcorder to REC PAUSE mode. "PAUSE" appears on the LCD monitor. 8. Select the TV program or playback the VHS tape. 9. Press START/STOP button to start recording. If you want to pause recording for a while, press the START/STOP button again. 10. To stop recording, press the (STOP) button. Notes: * Recording from an analog VCR to the camcorder is only possible when the VCR is playing back at normal speed. * If you want to see the camcorder picture with a TV, set AV IN/OUT in the menu to OUT.

To connect your camcorder to a TV (or VCR), you'll need audio/video cables. These need to be run from the VIDEO and AUDIO jacks on the camcorder to the VIDEO and AUDIO inputs on the TV (or VCR). Once cabling is completed, follow either of these scenarios: When connecting the camcorder directly to the TV, turn on the TV and tune it to the video input channel by pressing the INPUT button on your remote control. # When connecting the camcorder to a VCR that is already connected to a TV: Turn on the VCR and place it in the Line or Camera mode. # Operate the TV as you normally do to see the signal coming from the VCR. Select camcorders have an S-VIDEO jack, which offers higher video quality. Provided your TV or VCR has an S-VIDEO input jack, connect the camcorder to the TV or VCR using an S-VIDEO cable. Since the S-VIDEO cable only transfers video, you will also need to use an audio cable. Select the S-VIDEO input on your TV or VCR to view the signal coming from the camcorder.
