TV tuner cards allow you to view programming on a computer system. Although desktop computers
allow you to install internal TV tuner cards, laptop systems do not
have the available space for internal cards. Because of this, laptop
computers have PCI express card slots. This slot allows you to install
and remove (at your will) additional hardware, such as TV tuner cards.

Software installation
Locate the PCI express card slot (located on the side of your computer
opposite the disc drive). Push in on the protective cover on the slot to
unlock it from the case. It pops out slightly, allowing you to remove
the card.
Slide in the TV tuner into the PCI express card slot. The card clicks
into place and a light blinks on when the card has connected
successfully to the laptop computer.
Insert the driver installation CD into the disc drive of the computer.
Momentarily a driver installation wizard appears on the screen. Click
"Next" on the welcome page, then accept the given license agreement.
Choose "Next" two more times, then select "Install" and the drivers from
the driver installation CD install onto the computer.
Eject the driver installation CD and insert the software installation
CD. This is the program you use to view the connected receiver. As with
the driver installation CD, wait for the installation wizard to load up
onto the screen. Accept the license agreement, leave the installation
name and location blank, then click "Install" to install the software.
Restart the computer. Upon restart the laptop is ready to begin using the TV tuner card.
