So i have a sansa e260 i think or whatever it is.
and ive been reformatting it over and over following the steps.
i tried deleting the songs off of it.. and even resetting it multiple times
and these songs just don't delete they wont go away.. and they wont even play ive been trying to delete them for an hour now and it doesnt work all it says is "bad track" and once this happens i have to take the battery out and put it back in..because thats the only way itll shut off once the bad track pops up. so please ive been reformatting it and resetting it and nothing has worked.. any ideas just let me know thank you.
There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details
If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

I have the same problem except I don't have to take the battery out.
