Whirlpool duet GHW9200LW, panel will not light up. Has power as you can lock the panel, but that is the only light to come on. After leaving unplugged for over 24 hrs, it shows 888, What is this code?

To turn off "Control lock" : press and hold the "End of cycle signal" button for three seconds.

easy repair, they simply slide over hte slits in the tib and firmly pull forard to snap/lock into place. there should also be a screw included in the kit, remove the top of washer (3 screws across the back of the lid)after removing hte main top toull see a black accordian like hose leading to the top of the tub assy, from the dispensor box to the left. remove this hose from the tub( pulls out of the hole), then simply turn the tub form the inside till the baffle you installed is at the 12 o'clock positon your screw hole will be right there. RESECURE THE HOSE, reassemble the top and your done!

take a good look on control panel i don't remember which button you should push and hold for 3 for 5 sec. to lock or unlock control panel (it also called child lock) let me know it help or not. thanks....
