My unit when the air is on is leaking water. This happened last year as well, when I just happened to have a heating and air repair guy at my home. He said the well was clogged and proceded to clean it out. It was fine until the end of the summer when it started to leak again. I can't seem to find this well. Can you help??
Once each month pour a small glass of bleach down the "well". That should kill the green sliime and any other organic ****.
You dont have enough fall creating a water trap which breeds bacteria into a green slim ball blocking drain you need to chop more brick wood what ever the pipe drain go through so there is very good fall problem solved the pipe being blocked causes water to back up these heads can loose 4 ltrs an hr in qld not sure on other state hope i was some help

your problem is that the drain does not have enough fall down wards for gravity to allow the water to get away what happens is a well of water sits in the pipe where it goes through to outside or in a part of the drain where there is no fall and it goes green with slim from sitting with bacteria hence the water back sup and drains out the water dish below the evaporator so you need to produce more fall so the is no water trap created problem solved

installed 5 mr slim air handlers last year and the one in our bedroom leaked before the contractor left the house. He fixed it and this year he came to clean the units in late may and all was fine but a month later I noticed that it started to leak again, big time. The guy came back and told me that the gravity drain got clogged again because I have a rug in the bedroom, he cleaned the pipe and said that it will probably happen again. So why don't I have the same problem with the rest of the units? Was there an issue with the initial installation of that air handler? And how can I fix it? I don't want water and bacteria in my bedroom. I also noticed that the air handler in another bedroom smells moldy whenever I turn it on, that unit also has a gravity drain to a near by bathroom. Is there a way to check if the water dosn't drain properly and there might be a pool of water in the unit that creates mold?
