Hoover oph 614 on the front at the bottom ther is a filter i took that out and then screwed it back in today did my washing and there was water all over the garage floor. i noticed the seems to be coming from underneath near that area. could a bone from a bra have blocked something up.
I have had the same problem with refitting the filter. It seems to screw in tight but if it is not aligned perfectly it will leak when the machine has any water in it. If not sure that it has been refitted correctly try pouring a cup of water into the drum then watch to see if any leaks out the bottom of the filter so that you do not end up with loads of water on the floor if it is not fitted correctly (which is really hard to tell). Very poor design and puts you off removing to clean as suggested my manual unless absolutely necessary (eg if machine is not emptying)!I have had the same problem with refitting the filter. Had the same problem today. Found a very small piece of lint/fluff in the sealing groove of the filter socket. Removed this with an orange stick & touch wood the floor is dry again. Do hope this helps

Same problem here except the filter was clean. Got a new washing machine coming tomorrow. Looks like it could be the pump BUT after reading various web sites and auction sites it looks like it may also be the circuit board.
On the front bottom of the machine there is a plastic 'kick plate' that clips/pushes on. Remove this plate and you will see the filter with a cover secured by a star/phillips screw. Loosen screw and twist this cover off to gain acess. Don't do what i've just done and twist without removing this screw as it breaks it:-(

After syphoning water out of drum, remove and clean filter located at bottom front left of washer, if there is a screw in the filter cover, unscrew this first.
Remove filter by unscrewing anti-clockwise.
Yes. the pump may be blocked. look at the bottom of the washing machine front and you will see a flap undoo this and take out any bitts stuck in. Caution. Make sure the washing machine is un pluged and when you unscrew that plug. all of the water will come out of the machine. Best to do it outside. If that dose not work it means the pump has blown.
The filter is to be found at the bottom front left of washer behind a removeable plastic trim, if you can see a screw in the filter cover, undo this, and turn filter anticlockwise to remove.
If no filter at front, then remove rear panel of washer, and remove large black hose fastened to drum, check for blockage here, and check the pump at the same time.

I found the basic instructions that came with the washing machine and found that you need a screwdriver to undo a screw to remove the filter cover. I then gradually released the filter cover to empty the water out of the machine in small quantities into a shallow tray. I was then able to remove the filter and clear it of 2 x 20p pieces and a load of gunk. I then removed the 'washable' floormat from the drum as the rubber backing from the mat was crumbling and probably not helping the filter. Filter cleaned and cover screwed back in, mat in the bin, and everything working fine since.
I did try ringing the customer support number and after pressing loads of keys to select appropriate options; confirming my address, postcode, name, date of birth, email address, mothers maiden name, what the kids had for breakfast etc, I was allowed to ask how to get the filter cover off. Apparently this is a technical query and would involve arranging an engineer to call. I declined this very kind service option and opted for a screw driver, common sense and a positive attitude. Worked for me! No blood shed, a tiny bit of sweat whilst trying to get through on phone, and only tears of joy when I fixed it all by myself.
First empty machine by lowering waste pipe into a large bowl or bucket. Then remove kick plate from bottom front & you will see the filter. this will have a small screw which needs to be loosened then unscrew filter and check for coins etc.If this does not fix come back for other options.
