I bought these wrestling shoes for this years wrestling season and have been using them for about a month already, they are seriously one of the best buys in wrestling shoes i have made in my 7+ wrestling years. They have nice grip that has not faded one bit, brilliant color, and very nice ankle support (haven't even turned it since practice started)

I have boxing shoes. How do wrestling shoes compare?

Wrestling shoes are quite similar to boxingshoes. Just like boxing shoes, they are very light, which allow the wrestler totake full advantage of his footwork. Also, both shoes provide ankle support andprovide traction. Main difference between boxing shoes and wrestling shoes isthe materials used. Wrestling shoes are typically made of lightweightsynthetics, while boxing shoes are made of leather.

I plan to purchase wrestling shoes for my young son. What should I look at when buying wrestling shoes?

If you're buying shoes for the first time or replacing an old pair these advices will help ensure you get the most from your purchase. Size- Each manufacturer has different recommendations. For example, Asics and Adidas recommend that you add a 1/2 size to your gym shoe size while Nike recommends one full size to your normal gym shoe size. The 1/2 size for Asics and Adidas is a good benchmark. For younger wrestlers you should probably add a full size to their normal shoe size. This way the shoes will last longer, especially if your daughter or son is growing quickly. Price - Next, you need to determine your budget Most wrestling shoes range from $40 to well over $100. If you're not sure whether your son or daughter will stay in the sport long enough to get full value from the shoes, it's best to go with the cheaper shoe. Brand - Finally your last option is to choose the brand. As mentioned, Brute, Adidas, Nike, Infinity, and Asics have been manufacturing shoes for many years and provide great quality products. In many cases your wrestler will get 1-2 years out of these shoes.

Have you heard of reebok's 'RunTone Action'. I'm considering on purchasing this shoe.

I was so excited to buy these shoes after reading all the great reviews. However, I was very disappointed when I realized that the bottoms were starting to wear out and I've only owned them for a few weeks.I am going to return them today and get my money back. I'm really disappointed that these shoes weren't as great as I expected them to be.
