If your Nokia 6300 phone displays an error message saying "Invalid Sim (or) Sim Registration failed" then your phone is probably network locked.
You can unlock it easily by using an unlock code. You can get this code at reasonable cost from TheUnlockArena.com with easy step by step unlocking instructions and unlock it.Then you can use freely any GSM network Sim card.
try to reset factory settings by 2945#*# and select factory settings.this will solve, if problem persist make sure if your SIM is compatible to your device (this happen many times when SIM is old and not 3G configured, maybe it is work on another device but this device will reject).
When the message sim card registration failed comes up it is usually as a result of one of 2 things the first being that the phone has not recognized the sim card due to an improper fixing or the sim card has become faulty. Simply try the sim on a different mobile device to determine if the sim card is still good. Thank you for visiting FixYa.
Hope this solution has been helpful?
Have you tried with another Sim Card? If not do so now.
In case sim card is not the problem then this must be
1. sim ic (sim controller) problem, if you don't have idea, better go to a repairing shop to get it done, otherwise you might create another damage.
2. Firmware problem. You'll need to flash your mobile if this is the culprit.
Good luck.
