Printer not printing giving a black toner catridge not installed error and a new catridge is installed

Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

I have an HP Officejet J3600 series, It is showing error code 0xb900001b, 165:hw_interrupt_hwv2.c what am I supposed to do? I tried to clean and check the inkjets and anything I possibly could. Please help...

Hello,

You could try resetting the printer as a first step.

Leave the printer switched on and disconnect the USB cable from the back.

Remove the catridges and wait for "insert catridges" to be displayed. **Don't insert them! **

When the display comes up, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Wait 60 seconds and then reconnect the power cord and press the "on" button if it doesn't automatically start.

Reinsert the catridges and calibrate if asked to do so. Once this is completed reinsert the USB cord and try to print again.

If this doesn't work you can do a partial reset back to factory conditions.

  1. Unplug the power cord from the HP All-in-One.
  2. Wait for 20 seconds.
  3. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging in the power cord to the HP All-in-One.
  4. Release the buttons after the HP All-in-One starts up.
  5. The HP All-in-One will now be reset to factory defaults.
The HP website has help for your product series here (including downloads, manuals etc.)

Hope that helps!

Color is all wrong

Your pictures are coming out with a blue tint. Remove the color catridge and look at the bottom of it. the Yellow is probably green. If it isn't, trying performing a printhead cleaning through your home center. After that, calibrate the printer, you may see that on the calibration sheet, that colors are missing. Scan the calibration page and then try your printing your pictures. If that doesn't work, contact kodak tech support, you need a new printhead.
