I have Samsung HT-X250 and was trying to upgrade the firmware. But, during the upgrading there was power cut of, and it seems that the firmware on my Samsung HT-X250 doesn't finish upgrading process correctly. Now it doesn't recognize the DVD's, CD's and doesn't eject it. Is it some way to work it around and to upgrade the firmware directly from PC?

You will find it cheaper to replace your Samsung HT-X200 (2.1) with a Samsung

If you already have this firmware then you need to contact Samsung.. The last upgrade was 5th oct 2012.. not good enough Samsung.. :(

1. RESET
While "NO DISC" message appears on the display of main unit, hold the main unit's STOP button for longer than 5 seconds. "INITIALIZE" appears on the display and all settings will return to the default values.
Using the RESET function will erase all stored settings.

Check the firmware version. 1.07 or lower is likely to have this problem
Upgrading the firmware is quite simple.
Get the update from samsung website Samsung.com>Support>Search Box "SF-650">on product support page find tab "firmware" and download upgrade file.
If you feel competent to do the upgrade (read the instructions in the txt file twice) do it.

Be aware that the upgrade will likely want to do a memory clear once it is complete so you will loose address book etc. Also do not power off unit during upgrade or you will damage the firmware and possibly make the unit unusable.

Hope this fixes the issue.

If your drive is still in warranty please contact your retailer first. When you upgrade your firmware, please check the "Buyer" on your label of drive.

I had the same exact problem and thought the ROM was broke but it still played CD's. It's funny because when the problem started I thought I had really messed something up, and it turns out there are massive forums like these for the exact same problems. I hope I can ease a few minds w/ this. I'm running Windows XP, 1G ram, 100GHD.
