Ditto for my Panasonic plasma TV - The set suddenly went from working perfectly to losing all normal color. I have a complete picture, but it only displays in a few primary colors. Black is green and other colors are blue orange and violet. The effect is like the psychedelic solarized posters of the 60's. I have left the set off for extended periods of time and tried some of the reset procedures I've read about, but nothing helps.

SOURCE: Parallel vertical lines through left side of Panasonic Plasma tv

This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.

SOURCE: Panasonic TH-50PX60U Plasma TV no red color

I had the exact same problem. Thought it was the tv, but it was the cable between my cable box and the tv. Try unplugging the cords and plugging them back in, color was restored.

SOURCE: stuck in some type of solarization or posterization

The tv needs ot be readjusted, have you taken it to a service center? Either that or one of the sustain boards has failed, does the screen look sorta washed out and top edges are rough?

SOURCE: Plasma TV Picture Periodically Blurry/Color is Distorted

This sound more like a cable issue. Also check the leads going from your cable box to the set/ If you are using component cables one of them may be loose.

Panasonic plasma TH-42pz700 has left hand side of screen distorted

The set uses two boards to drive the screen --one for each half or side.

Different names are used like sustain or in LCD sets inverter.

I have an old Toshiba TV and was going to replace it with a new plasma because it has suddenly (the week of July 19, 2010) lost color. It has only green and blue tint. Changing the "tint" on the menu didn't help. The color comes and goes relative to nothing that I can measure, such as how long it is turned on, etc. Reading other complaints from owners of Plasmas, I am thinking it is cable related. I have Charter Cable. Playing a DVD, I have to readjust the tint back to normal. Hope this info gives clues.

Panasonic TH-42PX75U Blue Screen

This could be a reception problem of the cable transmission or the cable box if used. Are you using cable or SAT box. Tv goes to blue screen if signal is weak automatically.

Try checking the cable making sure they are tightly plugged in. My dads Plasma screen started showing orange / brown colors in place of primary red... he had been moving things around and didnt realize the wires were loosened in the process. This made him realize.... GET an HDMI and get rid of all the other cables......
