Purchased second hand 5 or 6 year old maytag dryer everything seems to work but have no heat..... how do we check the heating coil ??
All you need to do is check the element for continuity with an ohm meter, if it has continuity the element is good. The dryer also will run on 110 volts of power but it needs 220 volts too run the element, so check and make sure all the conections on your cord are secure and that you have 220 at your wall outlet.

No heat. Bought Neptune MD-6 secondhand. Owner used it that day to dry clothes before new set arrived. Had to lay on back to transport. Hooked up exhaust and power cord. Runs but no heat. Checker our ciruit breaker. Read in one article that have to use 220 to work? Is that correct or should 110 be fine. What should I do to attack this problem?
