Tv turns off after 1.5-2 hrs

Go to tv menu go to screen setting turn screen contrast to the max and screen brightness half midway point like 55.Tv real old like around ten years?Watches alots daily like 6 or 7 hrs a day?The tv CRT-(tv tube) might be to old,the radiation colors guns R,G,B insisde might not work as well as before.Have a reset setting in the colors setting?Go down to that press that,to restting for the factory colors setting.Or tries add more blue,a bit less green and red,see how that turn out?

It sounds lamp is reaching to end of its working life and causing that problem due to its weak result.
Replace lamp in tv to solve this issue. Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual of tv, please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.

Lamps only last for 5,000 hrs -8,000 Playing hrs
It means every hour you Play TV Lamp burns up the hours, so after 5,000hrs on most Lamp needs replacing, some Lamps dont even last this long DLPs are not like Projection you can play them 24-7 and Tubes will remain good, But Lamps are like a light bulb they all burn out after so many hours.
Best thing is to turn TV off if you are not watching it, in order to Save Hours burt on Lamp.

Replace the Lamp.

The color wheels will never fix an issue like that. The only things that will cause that issue is a bad DMD board which is part of the light engine or the digital board which is not. Freak Squad need to replace the digital board.

Check that you have not set the sleep timer on so that it goes off after 1 hour
