Chinese Problem I need to recover the "restore to factory setting" password for chinese phone labelled "BMW" . Any idea ??

Take out fuse for 10 min to restore to factory settings

Here's how it work,

Go to setting > Master Reset

* the are 2 option in Master Reset, you may choose "reset settings" to restore phone settings into default *or "Reset all" to full reset of format the entire phone settings including your personal data and stuffs. and it will go back to is original phone settings.

Try typing in code *#7780# to perform soft reset - this restores factory settings without deleting your data.

If that doesn't work try *#7370# to perform hard reset - but this will delete all your data and restore factory settings.

If the phone asks for a security code the default Nokia security code is: 12345

(Please note: If you are using a phone that was purchased in China, the default language will be Chinese, so after restoring settings it will still be in Chinese!)

Try typing this code in the dial pad:
*#0044# It should set the language to English.

the default password for chinese fone is 1122

i had the same problem with a mp3 player..what u could do is look at the user manual and navigate from the default screen to the settings and language section,requires some navigation and trial error though or if you have a friend with the same mobile,you could synchronise clicks on the mobile till you came to the language settings..be sure you start the process from the same screen..best way would be switch off both and switch on both and then begin..

It seems hardware failure of your phone's tuch screen. As N-95 is rather complicated you are advised not to open it untill you are not trained and have not enough skill to do so. Any skilled technician can do this job for you but will charge little for that. If you are skilled then post me I will send you manual depecting this by pic. You have to download it from rapidshare.
