Network settings on your computer
right click on lan network and properties go to ipv4 properties and use the following.
IP address 192.168.1.2
255.255.255.0
router defaut in the default gateway settings (mine was 192.168.1.245)
enter that again in the dns primary (dont worry about the secondary)
plug an ethernet cable to your wireless router and type in the default gateway.
that will get you to your logon page.

hope that helps

Unable to login to WAP4410N using web based administration utility after factory reset. it's reporting as invalid username or password

Please see the Reset the Default Factory Setting please read it the Detail I have a WAP4410n wireless access point, I have reset it to factory default by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds. I am able to ping its default ip 192.168.1.245 through its default ssid "ciscosb" if I configure my static ip was solved by connecting through the lan cable, and setting manually the ip to 192.168.1.0/24 network, and accessing 192.168.1.245 through web, the reason why the connecting through WiFi was working because the management web access through wireless is disabled by default
Thanks

Can get router to work

The Cisco Aironet 1200 access point provides secure wireless connection to your network. Cisco's wireless access design meet the needs of a small to medium size business.

This unit provides secure network access for laptops or Wi-Fi capable portable devices, which you upgrade at any time as your business grows.

A beneficial feature of the Cisco Aironet 1200 is its ability for the administrator to reset the access point remotely.

This resetting process works through your internet browser.
Log on to the System Configuration page by entering your Cisco Airnet 1200 IP address in your browsers web address text box.

Enter your user and password information from the pop up menu.
Click on the "Setup" button from the summary status page.

Select the "Cisco Services" setup option and click on "Manage System Configuration."
Click on "Reset All System Factory Defaults" to reset the router.

The Cisco Aironet 1200 will be restored to factory defaults.

How to connect wap4410 with pc to confgure

Try disconnecting your Cisco Wap4410 from all other network devices then restart it - it will look for a DHCP server, and when it doesn't find one will choose the IP: 192.168.1.245 ---
Set the TCP/IP settings on your laptop to:
IP:192.168.1.250 / Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 / Default Gateway: 192.168.1.245 and connect your laptop ONLY to the WAP4410 using a cat5 ethernet cable ---- you should then be able to load a web config page using internet explorer and browsing to: http://192.168.1.245
-------- I've paraphrased the following info from the Cisco User Support Forum (User Juunda):
"...If you read the administrator guide it states that the WAP4410N will search for a DHCP server first, if the dhcp request times out then will it default to 192.168.1.245 this is done so with a user friendly plug and play mentality in mind. Best practice would be to give the AP a static IP of your choice and in your subnet/network so the fastest way to configure the AP out of the box is to assign a static IP on your pc/laptop in the 192.168.1.X /24 and directly connect to the WAP4410N and give the WAP a static IP, define your gateway, DNS servers and then implement it into your network..."

Configuring Wi-Fi Protected Setup

To connect to your wireless router, the router's wireless settings needs to be configured with the SSID, encryption etc. and also the wireless cards in all the laptops/computers needs to be configured with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops/desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.
Connect a LAN cable from the Linksys to the LAN port on your computer.
Open a browser and enter the Linksys configuration URL
http://192.168.1.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = admin
You can protect your router by changing the default admin PW (write it down and put it in a safe place)
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Netgear access point cant open configuration page

Typically you should be using configuration software until a real IP can be setup and you either address it statically or turn on DHCP. As for the gateway and other information, on a wireless gateway, it should all be routed through the network. Also, I think you have to be wired to the WAP to access the config page, I don't believe it can be seen over the wireless connection as a security feature.
