Hi there , this may or may not help but i have a sony model KLV 46X200A i had the same fault only green led going and you could hear the sound of a relay click nothing more , to cut a long story short the TCON board was faulty , as it was hard to get hold of a replacement , i found that a very small fuse on this board had gone open so replace this fuse with 1 from a laptop backlight board , the tv now works fine , i hope this helps .
To access the CCFL lamps to Sony LCD panel, you have to disassemble the panel itself, because they are fitted inside. Contact any service technician. This is a skilled work. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
If there is an answer to this question, you will most likely be able to find it on AVSFORUM dot COM - once there go to the LCD Flat Panel Displays section and then search or scroll through the list of models. The Bravia kdl-46s4100 is approx 6 yrs old, so what you're looking for is going to be somewhat buried and by this time the discussion thread may even be closed, but whatever information is there should be extensive, as this was a popular model when new. Note also that the "46" in the model number refers only to the screen size (46") so information for any KDL-xxS4100 (where xx = the screen size) should be relevant to yours. Hope this helps.
There could be several things that can cause this. Could be a bad CCFL bulb, inverter, power supply problem, main board, or T-con. You will need to have the set diagnosed to track down the problem.
I have a sony bravia kdl 40v 5100 for less than two years and i did not purchased an extended warranty and now my tv is down.
I have no picture, no sound just a black screen when i turn the power on, the power (green) light is lite up and the tv turns off by itself for like less than 30 seconds. I have tried to press as many buttons on the remote control and on the side of the TV to get any message but nothing seem to happen. Any suggestions and solutions? Thanks
YOU ARE 100% CORRECT it is the cameras ....... as a tv camera wears out green is the last to get weak . so the picture turns green crt tvs do the same thing
