Hello,i was washing my cloths the other night and a pen happened to be one of my pockets. The pen didn't explode in the washer but it did in the dryer. It ruined some of my cloths which is no big deal. The inside of the dryer has ink splats all over it including the door.I've tried several cleaners and nothing seems to take it off 100%.It also looks like it could be a marker too. What kind of paint can i use to dab over the ink or marker stains. thank you

Hairspray is an excellent solution to the ballpoint pen ink problem. Buy the cheapest you can find and spray, let the spray sit on the spots for a few seconds and wipe with a paper towel. Keep doing this until the spot is removed. This also works on fabrics as well. As a former teacher, my red grading pen ruined several of my white shirts. I used my husband's $1.29 can of hairspray and saved over $100 in garments. He was pretty angry about my using all his hairspray but when I pointed out the money saved by not having to purchase new blouses, he relented. I keep a can of hairspray in my laundry room at all times.

I have alot of particles in the bottom of my washer at the end of the cycle.. if i run another cycle with no clothes they stay in the bottom of the washer..appears to be dirt, leaves..etc

Hello, Suzanne -

So someone, whose clothes are washed in your machine, picks up "crud" on his or her clothes. (My dad used to collect "crud" in his pants cuffs and pants pockets, so my mom would make sure she emptied the pockets and cuffs over a wastebasket before putting his clothes in the washing machine.)

First, make sure pockets, cuffs, and whatever else clothing parts might collect "crud" are emptied over a wastebasket prior to placing in the washing machine.

"Crud" like pet hair or disintegrated facial tissue left in a pocket may still be left over in a washing machine tub after clothes are removed. I use a wet sponge to wipe out the washing machine tub when ever I see left over "crud."

Newer washing machines have lint traps, which are not as easy to access as those on clothes dryers. The washing machine lint trap may need cleaning out.

you need to do a high temp wash every four weeks or so to kill the germs or do a pre wash and leave the water over night then a normal wash to clear the germs

Why does my washing comes out with stains on it.... they weren't there when it went into the wash...

yes sometimes ink pens can be washed when we are not aware it was in someones pocket. I use straight ammonia and a cloth to clean my washing machine drum a couple times a year because these things have happened to me before. The ammonia will cut the grime and pen stains out of the drum. Then take a squirt bottle and fill it with white vinegar and squirt all around inside the drum of the machine. Run a wash without any clothes with the hottest water to clean the drum and clear out the stains. Do this to the dryer also and clean out the filters. Take the dispensers out from the washing machine and clean those too and your cleaning is done for a while. Apparently the ink has been in the drum of your washing machine and putting the color into your clothes. You can bleach out the white clothes that turned blue. Use the stain remover for colored clothes. Hope this will help you.

Hello, we have a Samsung WFJ1254 front load clothes washer and after we complete a load, the softener tray (coded with [*] in the middle of the detergent tray) is filled with water. I have tried to remove...

Put bleach in pocket and wash with no clothes for two loads it sounds like it is stopped up. You may be able to shop vac it and trash back up and out try this first

Clothes come out with lint all over. i have to use a lint roller on my clothes.

Check the pockets of pants and make sure there is nothing in them ....Take a damp cloth and wipe out the inside of the drum to try to get excess lint out of it.... also run a short wash with no clothes in washer to see if it cleans the washer out certain clothes such as towels should also be washed by themselves ...........

My GW612 washer leaves pockets of dirt in my cloths

Any time that happens it is usually because the machine was overloaded to the point where the clothes do not get properly circulated in the wash. Try not stuffing it too tightly.

I forgot to empty pocket. a ball point pen exploded and i have ink all over the inside of my dryer. I have not found anything to remove it. Any suggestions?

Try aerosol hair spray. It removes dried ink from clothes, may also work for your dryer. If not, try paint thinner or mineral spirits, available at any hardware store.
