LG Washer LE Error

Hi Mark, I saw your answer on Fixya for the Lg Washer LE Error problem (Here: http://www.fixya.com/support/t448168-lg_washer_le_error). I have a WM0642HW LG washer. Will the 6501KW2002A sensor assembly part work on my washer as well, as you advised 'robinfly' in that same thread? I appreciate your advice and recommendation on where to order. thanks, Stephen

I have the same problem where the washer struggles and wont go back or forth on the wash cycle and then sooner or later it quits and the LE error pops up. If it is the Hall Sensor is it the same part number on my WM1832CW frontload machine and if it is what is the part number I need to order and do you sell them . I am in Alberta Canada. thanks

Thanks to everyone who posted HELP for LG Washer LE error code, i switched out the HALL Sensor ($20.94 + $9.99 next day delivery Toronto Canada) in my 3 year old LG Front Load washer Model # WM2010CW. Running like a dream now!

Was quoted $98.95 for diagnosis and if they had the part (that they thought they'd need) another $180 parts/labour. So a big thanks for saving me over $250

LG TROMM FRONT LOAD washer stopped after l filling with water. Flashing LE - what does this mean

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall Effect sensor is used in these washers which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when there is an issue with the motor or when the Hall Effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sensor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

What does the LE code mean on the LG front loading

The main cause for this error code is because you used too much or the wrong kind of detergent in your washer. This code is set off by too much suds in the washer. Not only will this set off the alarm code, but it may also cause your washer to leak and even start to have a bad smell from the dampness getting where it should not be.

OR

LE is a locked motor error. Not to worry as 95% of the time it is just a bad hall sensor (the motor position sensor). For your model the part number is 6501KW2002A.

LG washer has a fault code of LE and won't run

LE is motor overload - Does it let you 'try' to start a load, make some noise, and then say LE after a minute or two? If so, you need to replace the hall sensor. See here: http://www.fixya.com/support/t260950-lg_tromm_wm2277hw_will_not_spin_both
