I have a 2002 buick rendezvous and the air compressor has locked up and broke the serpentine belt. Is it possible to re-route the belt to bypass the air compressor or buy a smaller belt? Any other options to get it running with out replacing the compressor?

Something I have done before which was rather hard to do was to take the clutch apart and remover the parts that bound up on the compressor. That will free up you pulley but don't expect it to be easy to do.

As far as finding a belt you can use the old one if there's anything left of it. talk it and route it around all the pulley except the ac making sure pulleys with groves have the grooved part of the belt and smooth pulleys have the backside of the belt and the mark the belt with something and bring it to an auto parts store and just get one the is about the size that you marked.
