FinePix A360 stuck in video mode - moving the slider to "play" or "photo" mode does nothing. I can record videos but can't take pictures. The slider doesn't feel like it's come loose at all; it's actually pretty sturdy and you can feel it clicking when moving to different modes. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I've removed the batteries and reinserted them. Also tried with different batteries.

usually, when in the "picture taking mode" you can click on a menu button and then choose the color. on other cameras, you actually set the camera AFTER you take the picture, so while you're viewing the picture, click on the menu button and try finding it in there.
The three position switch for play, camera, video has likely broken. The plastic switch on the outside has a small contact plate held to the back of the switch on the inside with one small screw. I do have a replacement on hand if you are interested.
