I installed the game, start it, everything fine, but when I select the teams and click on "Play Game", it loads, and almosta immediately when it starts, the game suddenly stops. There is a message saying: windows or madden has encountered a problem, and needs to close.. Sorry for the inconvenience. I disabled the error messages, and again, the game stops without any messages.. Whatever I do, it stops! I have very little knowledge about computers, so can you please help me with this in a simple way..

may be your cd/dvd rom is weak. replace the dvd rom.

Reinstalling doesn't work. I have EA Sports Cricket and Rugby, and experience the same problem with both games. So its probably some setting on my laptop that conflicts with the EA Sports settings. Anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

you have to crack the the game.... this is the following process to crack the game .... insert the game DVD ,then explore it and open the crack folder.copy all the files in the CRACK folder. now go to the desktop.Right click on the desktop icon of the game >properties>find target>paste the files in this folder>apply>ok the game will run now.......;)
