I have a logitech webcam pro 9000 model number:V-UBM46 and it used to work with skype just fine. But all of a suddent it does not work, i can hear, talk to and see the people im skype-ing with but they cannot see me. any suggestions as to what i can do? thanks :)

Scroll down to find the correct software for the operating system on your computer. The QuickCam Pro 9000 can be used with the LWS (Logitech Webcam Software) versions 1.1, 2.31, 2.51 and 2.80. you might want to try and uninstall the quickcam application. as i've researched skype is having problems with certain cams compatibility. just try and uninstall the quickcam application but not the drivers. with this you may still be able to use the quickcam with other applications.
you can uninstall it through the control panel>add remove programs

also if you are using a headset or separate mic and headset with the video call you would want to disable the mic on the quickcam
go into Device Manager and disable the microphone in the Pro 9000

ofcourse this is just some things you can try but is not guaranteed to solve your issue. please let me know if this works. thanks.

Windows Media Encoder enables the ability for you to "LIVE" broadcast using your webcam utilising Windows Media Encoder 9 and your participant viewers watching you using Windows Media Player at the recieving end. So in other words, you are effectively setting up "your own" live streaming broadcasts either video, audio(such as internet radio) or both from your PC without using the likes of Skype, Yahoo, IM etc.

hello, try to close all the quickcam software before you open skype. I think its a program collision. also check msconfig that no logitech program starts. click->start->run->write msconfig and click startup tab. uncheck all logitech. get back if it doe sent work

The advantage of having a logitech webcam is the support you have.

Also there is a good logitech forum from other users as logitech tends to have teflon shoulders when it comes to chat programs

I upgraded to Skype 4.0 and so far it is working fine

try and change the audio settings under the tools menu option of skype and goto the general settings. You will find the audio and select for the correct audio device.
