Hello,i could not install my sound driver in my laptop,becoz the vendor did not give me sound driver with laptop.so,other drivers i got after more searching but sound driver is not found. My product is Compaq Presario V3700 &(hp)service tag - v3780TU please send me the sound driver to my mail.

From your question, I deduce that:

1. You are installing a Sound Crad Driver from an OEM Vendor (Toshiba support site).
2. You are runnimg Windows XP. in the case of Windows Seven/Vista, these two platforms support a generic HD Audio Driver (hdaudio.sys as verified from the DirectX Diagnostic Tool)
3.In that case, you need to download and install:
(a). The Intel Chipset Drivers for your device.
(b). The Microsoft Unified Audio Architecture HD Audio Driver , which you can download here as a HotFix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111). Click here to go to the link.
4. Once you have downloaded all these components and installed them, go on and install the Realttek HD Audio Driver from your OEM Vendor.

you can usually find and download the sound driver for installation through the website of your laptop/system vendor/manufacturer . It is best to start looking for the drivers through the manufacturer since the drivers may be customized for specific vendors.

try to install the audio driver using the drivers cd provided by the laptop vendor. Or download the latest driver from the vendor site and install it. It will work perfect then. Thank You.

first of all xp is no longer supported by Microsoft.

But, if one wants to use it, they should use the original disc with key and install it from scratch, then do all of the automatic updates to it.

Preferably, go up to SP3 on it while it is connected to the Internet.

Then, the proper sound driver should be installed, automatically, and it should work as before.

If not, then maybe try to download the latest driver for your computer from the vendor's website.

Most version of windows XP doesnt have drivers for the wireless adapters, you have to download the driver for your laptop, from your laptop vendor website.....

NOTE: if you give me your laptop make and model number i can suggest you the link to sownload the drive....

Or if u dont have the access to internet, ask your vendor for deriver, some vendor may given you CD containing the driver

Hello,

Please install the audio drivers. The cd utility probably enclosed in your PC from the vendor. insert the cd then install all the drivers and specially the audio driver.

no problem, just go to the hp/compaq web site and down load the driver you desired.

please check the sound card installed on your system, eventhough its OEM card, but mfrs keep changing them from vendor to vendor. Later go the vendor's site and look for drivers or solutions

please give full details of model no. , year of mfg, country of origin/mfrg, and windows vers?

i have just found a solution. Thanks to 1234567 of driverzone.com who posted it. This is his gem "RE: Error: Windows could not load the installer for image
I have registered myself just becoz I promised myself that if I will e able to solve this problem, I help someone to solve it too.So, here I am.
I have Vista Home premium.If it worked on vista, it shud work on windows.After tracing up to the root of the problem.I found that this message:
"Windows could not load installer for Image.Contact your hardware vendor for assistance"
...was all becoz of one file missing in the folder "system32"
For those who dont know where is system32 folder, its in the windows directory e.g "C:\WINDOWS\system32\"
The missing file is "sti_ci.dll"
download the file from this link:http://www.driverskit.com/dll/sti_ci.dll/3514.html

extract it and paste it in system32.
Repeat the step u did before u get that annoying message...this time, u wont get it.Coz I didnt get it and my cam is working now.

If it worked for u then please help others to solve it too becoz they wont have anyone to help them.This applies to anyone who reads this post and solved the problem.
