I have the above cybershot camera. I have just brought a memory card in for the camera and turned it back on. All appears now is plain white screen no menus or pictures. The camera still flashes as though its taking the picture but nothing there ???????????????help !!

I bought a new 1MB memory card for this camera and was dismayed to find that the screen went completely blank - I couldn't do anything!!!! It was my sons graduation so had to buy another camera!
But, have just resolved this issue by pressing the bottom right-hand side of the screen with a rubber topped pencil - it works!!!!
This camera may be old and chunky but it still takes amazing pictures.

My DSC-P43 has started to show a white screen only, and will eventually turn itself off. Can it be repaired?
I had the same problem, I didn't use it for a while and then turned it on again and it worked. Now the screen went white again and the Reset button does nothing.
my DSC-P43 suddenly went blank. it hasnot worked for 3 days now.
I had the same problem but this solution worked perfectly ! Amazing.
