You motherboard uses a "Socket A" CPU and therefore has limits to how high you can go.. I would recommend the XP 2200 or 2400+ as a good choice, but you can make your own choice.
Hi, the details on the back of the computer are
BOM No 9-v1010
VU122000 01704
It is a Vulcan 1010
AMD Duron Processor
I'd have to open up the pc to find out any more than that, I don't know what the make or model is of the sound card, again will probably need to open up and look inside.
Thanks
Hi All,
I've managed to fix it myself, after all. I opened the system up (easier than I'd thought) and got the name and model number which was printed on the sound card. Then googled it and got the driver to download. Anyone else having this problem who doesn't know the name or model of the sound card should do this as it's really easy (just be careful not to touch the inside parts unless you know what you're doing).
Thanks to all for trying to help.
hello. i need amd duron multimedia drivers, pls help me.
i need dirvers for amd duron processor
I'll need one of the following three things: The manufacturer & model of your computer, the manufacturer & model of your motherboard, or the model of the sound card installed in your computer. If it's an additional soundcard, remove it and look at it and it should have the model number somewhere on it otherwise just the name and model of the main chip on the soundcard will help. If it's built in audio, I need the computer make and model or the motherboard information.
