Does the red and green light stay on all the time? When do you know you need to add freon?

What if the red light is on and the green light is off what's the problem

Unless you have a lot of expensive refrigeration tools and a license to recover and buy freon, then you need a serviceman.

My green light stays on all the time unless I open the door and it needs to get back down to temperature. The red light will come on then and return to normal after 30 seconds to a few minutes if on a hot day. Good luck hope I could help

if you turn the freezer off for some time then on again the red light has to come on as an indicator for high temperature it goes off by itself when the freezer attains the required temperature according to the thermostat settings ,that is the lower the settings the faster the red light goes off. the orange light indicates super cooling and the green light indicates power supply.if you turn the two lights off and the freezer still works without the green light on that means that the bulb for the green light is faulty and you don,t need to worry

sound like an earth fault and tripping the protection.

two reds and green are the auto max freeze on indecators the reds go off one at a time when unit drops to safe temp mode.also means unit needs defrosting manually when too much ice is present.

• if you are tapping into a sealed system, then you use the larger of the two copper lines coming out of the side of the compressor (this is the low pressure line, the compressor pulls from this side).
• clean off the copper tubing with some fine sandpaper before installing your tap.
• it is very easy to over fill a system with freon, so i would recommend pulling down the system to -30 psi and holding for at least 20 minutes. then add a known amount of freon to the system. 
• let it run for a while, it will take a little time to get the temperatures down.
  

The orange button is the "turbo boost" - for reduzing the temperature the fast way. Mostly used when first time use or you put in a lot of unfrozen things at once. When reaching optimal temperture it goes off automatically. The red one is the alert button. Not sure about the green one. Under normal conditions none of the lights is on.

Try advancing the defrost timer manually.
