I have a 5 year old Frigidaire freezer FFU14FC4CW1 that worked fine until this week. It started getting warmer inside so I unplugged it 48 hours in case it was frozen. After reconnecting it it stays warm. The circulator fan stays on constantly but the compressor doesn't come on with its normal hum. I can feel it get warm and it does slightly vibrate to the touch but nothing like it is supposed to. The temp switch seems to work because it shuts the fan off when I lower the setting. I cannot locate any coils to clean anywhere. None are visable either below the unit or mounted on the cabinet. Any help is appreciated.

I had the same problem 3/28/08 . The repairman stated it was the relay switch and replaced it. Today-08/18/08- the same problem again. I had to throw out alot of the food. I am ready to throw the freezer out. I purchased 5 new appliances in 8/3/03, all frigidaire products. I have kept the extended warranties- but each time they stated- I was not using the product correctly. The stove- would not keep the temperature, I had a gas stove and one of the grates cracked or split in parts. This was on the small burner. The interior of the oven bottom had a huge spot where the paint or what ever was flaking off. I replaced this with whirlpool. The dryer did not keep the temperature and cut off or would not complete the cycles- replaced with whirlpool.
