Had same problem - turned off Adaptive Lumina, Backlight control, and Ambient light sensors on the Vizio advanced picture settings and the Dish remote now works. Vizio was emitting an infared signal that interfered with the Dish remote signals with these settings on. TV still works and looks just fine... But best of all Dish remote works too.

I have a Vizio SV48OM. It is hooked up to Dish. this morning I couldn't change channels or anything with my dish remote but could turn the tv on and off. Called dish and was trying to see what the...

About the only thing you could try would be to reset both the dish receiver and the tv. Disconnect both from electrical power source, (unplug) after a minute or so, plug them back in and try again. if neither works then you may have had some type of power surge.
Be certain your tv is in the right source, however the tv has been connected to your receiver.

Vizio M550NV 55 in HDTV LEDTV WON'T TURN ON

You have inadvertently deleted some operation system application files. The software may need re-installation. This is a case to be handled by a qualified service technician.

We gave lost the remote for our Vizio 42" HDTV.

By manual I guess you mean the buttons on the TV and not switching the actual cables. my recommendation is to get a good new universal remote. My personal preference for my Vizio TV is the Logitech 650. Just know that you program it on a computer. It controls up to 6 devices (TV, DVD, Cable box, audio and more), is easy to program with no codes to enter. I am sure it is easier to get then a new Vizio remote though a little pricey at $60.
Hope this helps,

Have new E370VL hooked up to Dish Network via coax. The picture jumps/blips? Connections are tight. Help.

This can happen when there is radio interference near the coaxial cables. Sometimes the interference is behind walls. The solution is to try a different combination of modulation and channel than what the DISH receiver is current set.

The DISH menu screen for this setting is Menu-6-1-5. With dual-tuner receivers, typically "TV 1 Out" is the TV that is connected in the same room as the receiver is located. "TV 2 Out" is the tuner that is fed to the remote TV via backfed coaxial signal.

All that needs to be done is to change the channel and mode going to the effected TV to something different. If your channel/mode is currently set to Air/60, try changing it to Cable/73. When you change the mode/channel in the DISH receiver, you need to set the remote TV to the same mode and channel.

Keep in mind that with some TV companies like VIZIO, they call their "Air" mode "Antenna". With VIZIO's the TV must be set on TV input and then go into the Menu to the Settings, Tuner Settings. Change mode type to match what you are trying on the DISH receiver, exit the VIZIO menu and manually enter the channel number.

Eventually with trial and error, you will find a mode/channel combination that isn't effected by your particular environmental interference.

I have my tv hooked to a hd dish network sat box but I i only receive 480p instead of 1080p.

Hello there!!! There are a few reasons this could be. The first step would be to check how the hd is set up on the receiver. Press Menu 6-8. You will want to make sure that the Tv Type says 1080p. If this does not work, make sure that you are, of course, using an HDMI cable, or component cables. If you are having any other troubles with this, you can e-mail me at [email protected].

Have a new Vizio LCD tv , My Dish remote will not work only manual at the the box what wrong

Hello, Daniel Busa with Dish Network customer service. on those lcd tv's they will interfere with your remote. You have two solutions, you can turn off the back light feature in the tv menu, or you can set the remote to a uhf frequency which will probably require a new remote.

i had this problem using dish network. my dish remote went bad so i got a new one and as soon as i programmed it volume and channel had mind of its own on both the dish remote and the original tv remote. you would hit it once and volume would go to max and vice versa when going down. ended up being the new remote was set on the uhf setting and i had to reset to the ir setting which is a small switch in remote next to batteries and then reset system info in dish receiver. problem went away instantly. both remotes work fine now. took two days to figure out and spent hours on internet looking for solution but no one had one. hope this helps.

Usually in most cases the tv remote will run the dish receiver properly. Try getting your dish receiver remote to work the tv, by typing codes for that model number of the remote.

Lost my picture when went to pip

Check your PIP source. I couldnt figure out my LCD pip, and why it wasnt working either until I was able to switch the source. It was automatically using a source that didnt have anything hooked up to, I had to switch mine in order for it to work. Try that and see if that might be the case. let me know. thanks!
