SOURCE: Trouble removing the seal nut and the long screw that hold that bottom agitator
If your machine has the plastic nut, I use a pair of channel lock pliers to remove it. It usually will break but you will need to replace it any way. To get the basket support off, I use a piece of flat steel and large hammer. This will need to be replaced also. The new basket support has a seal in it that takes the place of the plastic nut.
I assume you are replacing the bearing and seal since the bearing wearing is usually what causes the seal to leak.
Post back if you have any questions.
Thanks/Mike

My opinion is no. You need those tools for reinstalling so you dont break the parts you are installing

You need to replace both tub bearings and the seal. Not an easy job. Good luck, though.
