I have a Panasonic PT47WX53G it wont turn on or off (Red light continues blinking 2-3 second intervals) R517 Burned out and I found on the net that it was a 47k Ohm resistor, however I have also noticed that there are other talk fourums that said it was a 10k resistor. Could someone please help me identify the correct specifications? I was also hoping to find out if there may be other common issues associated with the over heating of R517. Thank you so much!

Return it my friend, it sounds like a problem on the display panel driver board, and boy is that expensive to replace! Good Luck

Hi,
I found the problem with my set! I pulled out the lamp to inspect and low and behold the filiment was burned out. Just ordered a new lamp to replace it. That should fix it.Very easy to pull the lamp .

lo que puede hacer es medir el ohm de la resistencia y * 2 pero desde el terminal hasta la mitad de la resistencia

I have the same problem. Sometimes the TV will turn on just fine, other times I get the red light flashing light.
