Replaced the battery in the car but now unit seems dead although power to inline fuse is OK. KD G386/385 Has it got an internal fuse ?

It might be a good idea to check all of the fuses in the car. The radio requires two power sources in order to work properly.

I am trying to connect my JVC KD-G340 car CD player to a headboard in my bedroom. I am using a radio shack A/C to DC power converter as a power supply. When I connect the Black Wire (instructions say to...

your ac-dc converter is not properly shielded or grounded, you need to replace it with a good one.(or you may wire you cd player chassis to a grounding receptacle, most ac outlets the center plugs are the ground terminals)

some car cd-player has a memory circuit, that will remembers on what state it was before power was remove, like yours it will play again as soon power is applied to it..

I have a car cd receiver kd-ar390/kd-g340, while playing a cd the music interrupts and displays ( e-3 ) even with new cd or recorded music. thanks.

When your car set stops and displays e-3 this usually is a sign that the disc which is being played is either corrupt or has scratches on it.
Also the e-3 could also be an indicator that the disc lens for the unit has gotten dirty and is due for some cleaning.
All you have to do is get a disc cleaning kit and run it on the car cd receiver to clean up the dust in the unit.Once you can get this done the unit should begin to function perfectly.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

Need to wire JVC model KD-G340 into a 97 Kia Sephia

Do not cut the wires from the car. Instead, call Crutchfield at 888-955-6000 and order the adapter part number 120701003. When you call them, ask for color coding. For JVC, refer to the attached picture. Match the adapter color code with that of JVC. If the adapter color code is the same, then connect ground (black), battery (yellow), and wire from ignition switch (red) securely. Turn on the car and see the radio works. If it works, connect one by one speakers and confirm. Remember, perfect connection gives reliable installation.
