Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark 4300 Series printer driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen.
Just in case there is a problem with the disk.. The driver appears to support both XP and Vista. I suggest trying to install the driver, before you plug the USB cable in, if at all possible. And then if you still have problems, try a different USB cable, if you can..
