PS3 problems At home I have a new samsung hd 1080p TV that I normally use for my PS3. I will be in a hotel outa town for the next couple of days and I wanna watch a movie using my PS3. In my hotel room there is a LG tv (LG 32LC5DC) that is HD 720p. I turn on my PS3 and i get sound and no pic. I have an hdmi cord hooked up and the other audio cord also hooked up. I know this tv works properly bcus I hooked up my 360 to it and it works jus fine but only on the 720p setting. I reset my PS3 by holding the power button down and a screen finally shows. It says, "An available HDMI device was detected. Do you want to output video and audio using HDMI?" And I can select yes or no. I select yes and the screen goes black again and the Tv says no signal again. So I try all that **** again and select NO this time. The screen goes black but this time the Tv acts as if everything went thru but still no pic jus a completely black screen. Normally Id say forget it and just hang out at a bar. But Im in the middle of nowhere for the next 4 days and all I have are some Blu-rays and a half a bottle of Crown Royal

I had the same problem, stuck in a hotel room for 2 days. When I held down the button, next time I turned it on, I got the same prompt with using HDMI output, said yes, and screen went black. However, a screen then came up asking if I could see the image or not, but it has a 30 second time limit before it saves those setting, you have to click "No" on this screen, and it will drop the resolution to 780p instead of 1080 and it should work! Make sure you're paying attention so you don't miss the screen!

Samsung 2007 27" TX-T3092WH will not support HDMI or cannot see PS3?

HI,
Do one thing While PS3 is in standby mode press and hold the power button on the frond panel of PS3 for 30 seconds (factory reset). After doing this you will get video from its composite video.

Also check the hdmi If you didnt get the video through HDMI then,
PS3 out puts Full HD 1080P video through its HDMI out put. IF your tv doesn't support Full HD then it will display format not supported or Software not support.
If you want to get video through HDMI then do the following.
Connect the PS3 to any Full HD tv (friends or relatives) and go to its menu ,select HDMI settings. then down scale the video from 1080p to 1080i.
After that connect the PS3 to your tv you will surely get the video.

I connect my ps2 to my lg 32 inch lv3730.It is a full hd 1080p tv. Yet,the graphic quality is very very bad.Even bad than a 15 year old tv.I played it on both lg and very old samsung but the very old...

The problem is your PS2 only outputs 480 resolution video and doesn't upconvert to 1080p. It's going to look awful on 1080p television. Your output and your display have to match in order to achieve quality video results. It will look fine on a 480 resolution set like your old TV's because that's what it was designed for. If you want a better looking game experience on your 1080p TV, upgrade to a PS3.

Trying to use ps3, even after using hdmi cable on input 6 or 7, it says check your device output and i see green lines on my screen?

hi
There maybe some problem with your TVs resolution. ps3 outputs full hd high resolution video(1080p) through its HDMI. May be your TV is not supporting that resolution. Connect ps3's component video out to your TV's component video input and then try. if it ask for any resolution selection. select 720p or 1080i, above that resolution your TV will not support. Your tv is hd ready one, not full hd. ps3 's HDMI out is full hd (1080p).
or try this
Connect your ps3 to any full hd tv and then goto video setup of ps3. change resolution to 1080i (down scaling ). then connect to your TV via HDMI. surly u will get the video.

I have a ps3 that i tried to hook up to our emmerson tv through an hdmi cable and the tv screen says format not supportedf why?

If you recently moved the PS3 from one tv to another, it's setup to work on that other tv.
Press and hold the power button on the PS3 until you hear a beep. This should default the video output to whatever is plugged in and the PS3 should output normally via the HDMI connection.

Why can't i see 1080p programs on my directv hd dvr? The test on the hdr says my receiver doesn't receive 1080p. My tv is a Sharp LC-62C42U which is suppose to receive 1080p!

Your DVR can't detect whether your TV can do HD or not. If the message is stating that your receiver (which is your DVR) can't receive 1080P, then you'll need to contact DirecTV for assistance. You may need to replace your DVR.

Playstation 3 Flickers when set to 1080P

It sucks to see ALLLLLLL these solutions, when I have the solution. Turn off DEEP COLOR in the video settings. It will immediately stop. If it doesn't, then you don't have the typical snow/flickering problem.

Ps3 defaults to 576p when connected through onkyo 606 receiver

You have to tell the PS3 what the Okyo can do and it probably cannot do 1080P 60Hz (but can likely do 1080P 24Hz).  Try ticking more resolutions in the PS3s setup

1080p high def issues

The HDMI cable I had originally wasn't a good enough quality. I purchased an HDMI v1.3 cable and everything works at 1080p. You don't need to pay loads for a cable, got mine from Play for £9.99.

Games run on hdmi, but not Blu-ray movies

You most likely have the updated drivers. You may have to go and change a setting. I found an answer on the PS3 website that may be of some use to you. I hope this helps you: http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3&message.id=1662191 From the site: "go to bd/dvd setting and set the "108024hz" option off"
