Is there a thermal fuse on my GE 150 dryer it broke a belt and the dryer motor will not run

Locating the Thermal Fuse
In GE dryers, the thermal fuse--sometimes called a safety thermostat--is located behind the drum on the inside of the dryer. ... Look inside the dryer, behind the drum, to find what looks like a round metal pan. This metal pan is actually the dryer's heating element housing.

GE DPSE810EG won't start

You will need to check and see if the dryer has a bad thermal fuse on it. If so, it will cause the dryer not to start.

The thermal fuse should read closed for continuity. The thermostat is number 507 on this diagram. It is located on the top of the heating element housing.

Here is the part to order.

DRYER TUMBLES BUT WILL NOT HEAT

If this is a gas dryer the MOST COMMON problem would be a thermal fuse usually located in the back of the dryer. you would have to remove the back panel their is only 9 screws securing it. The thermal fuse is going to be white with 2 wires and 1 screw . Unplug the dryer remove the wires from thermal fuse and put them together temporary using tape make sure metal ends make contact and they do not touch any thing else. plug dryer back in and turn on. if every thing works than replace the thermal fuse and clean out your duct
