I had the same problem with a MC3070 and this is how I was able to solve it.
Find an MC3090 that is working and set it in the cradle attached to your PC.
Next open My Computer on the Scanner and go to the Platform folder.
In this folder you should see another folder called Fusion.
Open the Fusion folder then click on the the icon that says CBPCfg.
ColdBoot Cfg should pop up.
Click WLAN Settings and then click Save Current.
Save it to the device and then copy it to your desktop so it is easy to access when copying it to the device in question.
Once finished plug the broken scanner into the cradle and copy the registry file into the Application portion of your device.
Do a reboot with 1+9+power and it should work.
This is assuming the 3000 series scanners are all the same.
