My refrigerator is here in Beirut lebanon. The icemaker is attached to a portable water supply with a pump . The pump is working, I have reset the door button. The pump activates and the refrigerator makes noises but no ICE We shut the fridge off and leave the doors open and restart about 4 times a year. Fridge and freezer temps perfect? I do not have the manual and cannot find any lever to push up or down?

SOURCE: Door dispenser stopped dispensing, starting making a constant clicking and now the entire fride isn't working

We had the same problem. Our frigerator is 1.5 year old. Everytime we try to dispence water or ice the dispencer clicks and the whole thing turns of. We had a GE repairman come by: the electronic board needs to be replaced: total cost $350. (cost of the board only: $150. We are considering disconnecting the dispencer by unplugging the board (according to the repain man the ice maker wil still work)or buy a new refrigurator (for sure NO GE!!!!!!)

SOURCE: Ice and Water not dispensing. Light button not working

INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.

SOURCE: my whirlpool aide by side fridge icemaker is making buzzing or humming noise

Hello
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,

You said, your ice maker is making a buzzing or humming noise ice maker isn't making much ice. . fridge is about 2 1/2 years old.

This sounds like a clogged water line or a electrical short !
I would get service rather than take a chance on electrical fire.
Or burn up the circuit in the ice maker.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to advise you.

SOURCE: water does not dispense from door

I found that the door on the GE side by side doors are not accessable and cannot be repaired if a water line inside the door is defective. The entire door must be replaced at a cost of almost $370. The problem, which seems to be quite common relative to the lack of water at the dispenser, is the result of the water tube in the door freezing due to excess cold levels in the freezing compartment. This is probabley due to poor insulation around the water line as in exits near the ice dispenser gate. The solution is simple, lower the freezing level and use water frequently to keep it from freezing. Also, keep the lines clean by changing the filter often if the local water source is laden with particulates. I think GE should foot the bill for changing doors or re-engineer the doors to access the area where the water line makes contact with the cold surface of the inside panal.

Ice maker mot filling with water

Have you reset the icemaker? Usually there's a lever or switch that you have press to reset it. You did not post the make/model of your fridge so it's difficult to say which reset device you have.

My lg refrigerator lsxs26326 is dispensing water but not filling ice tray up. What could be wrong?

the water solenoid valve for the water dispenser is separate from the icemaker water supply solenoid valve . get to the icemaker water supply solenoid and test it if it works alright . unplug the fridge from wall outlet do not close water supply valve. disconnect water tube connection on the water discharge side of the icemaker water supply solenoid valve . pull - out power supply connection of the solenoid coil . connect solenoid valve directly to wall outlet. a faint click should be audible and water should come out from where the tube was removed -- from the water supply discharge side. if no water is coming out with the solenoid plug in , then the solenoid is faulty. but if water comes while solenoid is powered -on , check the position of the icemaker lever. if it is on off position icemaker timer won't activate icemaker water supply valve..move icemaker lever to on and check for water pouring into the icemaker tray' if no water comes out . change the icemaker timer. thanks.

Icemaker and water spout in door not working

Probable inlet water solenoid valve failure. This solenoid valve is located on the back of the unit and attached to the water supply line from your house.

Mfd2561 icemaker and water dispenser not working

The water supply line is possibly being restricted by lime tuild-up
  1. Turn water off, then start your inspection at the saddle valve attached to your cold water line, then go up to the water valve attached to the unit, Remove the water line and inspect for lime build-up or for foreign material. You may have to replace both valves. Link should help you

Which water line or lines do I connect to refrigerator, model # ED22RFXW01, man. 08/99

It's advisable to go with flexible plastic tube with sweet water supply. Please follow the instrction as per video attached.

Even if your refrigerator comes withan automatic icemaker, you will need to connect it to a water supply for it tomake ice. While this is not a particularly difficult job it requires someknowledge of plumbing and the use of tools. ThingsYou'll Need:
  • Compression Nuts
  • Knife Or Scissors
  • T-valves
  • 1/4-inch Copper Or Plastic Tubes
  • Drill Bits
  • Variable-speed Drills
  • Drill Bits
Read theinstruction manual that came with your refrigerator. Specific instructions forhooking up the icemaker may be included. Locate thepipe nearest the icemaker that carries cold water. Most often, this is the coldwater pipe that connects to the kitchen sink. Install at-valve in the main cold water line - not on the 3/8-inch faucet tubes - sothat there are two outlets: one to the sink and one to the icemaker supplyline. Turn offthe water. Put asleeve and compression nut over the line that will supply the icemaker in orderto tightly connect it to the water line. Turn thewater back on, and, holding the end of the tubing in the sink or over a bucket, flush the line to remove any debris. Turn the water off again. Snake theline from the water source to the icemaker connection, drilling holes in thebacks of cabinets if you have to in order to push the line through. Find theicemaker inlet from the refrigerator and attach the other end of the line usinganother compression nut. Turn thewater back on. Throw awaythe first few containers of ice to be sure the line is completely clean beforeyou use the ice.

Water dispenser and icemaker stopped working. Does this model have a filter that needs to be changed?

usually the filter is of an in-line type behind the unit or just follow the water supply pipe attached at the rear..1st check the water supply is actuallt getting to the appliance as the system splits internally to supply each function so for both to be not working suggests a water intake fault.. Thanks

Ice Maker

Check the back of the icemaker & verify that the icemaker was plugged in. Check that icemaker is turned on. Check that the water supply was not turned off. Check the water supply tube at the icemaker for ice blockage if the water supply is blocked cleared the ice away. IF Ok with both items checked. Then pull the plug on the refrigerator for about a minute, so that it can reset itself. If you still have no ice within the next twelve hours then the problem will either be with the inlet water valve or the icemaker itself. However, I really doubt that since it worked prior to service. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the first steps mentioned. Hope this helps. Please post your findings
