If you got this camera for Christmas chances are you might have done something to the basic settings. Save all your pictures on a computer before you start doing this, just in case you select the wrong option. :) Use your manual, or find the setting that says Reset Default Settings. That will bring all the settings you might have changed back to the original factory settings. If that doesn't work, you can go back to the store where you bought it from or directly to Samsung. All cameras will have a one year factory warranty on it and it should be covered. In case you don't have your manual, here is the link to the Samsung site manual for your model: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=04010300&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=SAMSUNG+S760 Here is their number... they might be able to help you on the phone or guide you to nearest warranty center: The

my camera is doing the exact same n i'm hunting the net right now for some kind of solution!! :( i think its something to do with the lens, mine was completely stuck, but i gently pushed it n it went back in and moves in and out fine, but the cam still comes on for a couple of seconds makes this wierd beep n goes off again!
I had the same problem - and wondered if if might be that the battery didn't have enough 'grunt' to close the lense - so I am charging it via the actual charger (rather than through the computer) and sure enough, I turned it on and then off, and the lense closed. The green light comes on when I plug the camera into the computer to download photos, and I thought this was therefore charging the battery, but maybe it doesn't charge it properly. Anyway, my lense is now closed and the battery is still charging (light is still red). Good luck.
