I have a Samsung remote and a vizio tv. I need the code to enter for the remote to work the tv.

1. Turn on your Vizio TV.
2. Press and hold the "Code" button on the remote until the LED light stays on.
3. Use the number buttons on the remote to enter the code "11864" for Vizio TVs.
4. Press the "Power" button on the remote to see if the TV turns off. If it does, press the "Enter" button to save the code. If it doesn't, repeat step 3 with a different code from the list below until you find one that works.

The instructions on letting the Hipi remote to seach for the code that came with my remote are not correct. I used the instructions from HOWTO.COM and printed below. There are two changes from the printed instructions. The first is to push the <TV> button after the <Code Search> button. The second is that the <Enter> button saved the code not the <MUTE> button.

Turn on the Vizio TV.

Aim the Jumbo Universal Remote at the Vizio TV and hold down the "Code Search" button on the remove for roughly 3 to 5 seconds. The LED lights on the Jumbo Universal Remote will come on.

Press the "TV" button at the top of the Jumbo Universal Remote.

Start pressing the "ON/OFF" button repeatedly until the Vizio TV turns off. (This took only a few tries for my Vizio TV)

Press "Enter" on the remote immediately after the Vizio TV turns off to save the code.

Test the Jumbo Universal Remote by trying to control the Vizio TV with the remote. If the control doesn't work with the remote, repeat the entire process.

CODE 78 WORKED FOR ME I HAVE A SAMSUNG BLUE RAY 6500 AND A VIZIO TV , IF NOT TRY LG CODES

You should use the remote codes for LG. My Vizio Eco42 uses code 16 Press power, TV, hold power button down while pointing the rmote towards the TV, enter 2 digit code. If you hit the right code it will turn the TV off.

Start with code 19. If it does not work try all the Daewoo codes..

I have a 37 inch vizio and had the same problem. After a little web research, I came across a suggestion that the LG codes might work. I tried it and found that the code 19 worked. You might try that. If 19 doesn't work for you, one of the other LG codes might (they are 06, 21, 22, 23 or 78).

I contacted Vizio the other day. They tell me that they use the same generic codes as LG. I have Suddenlink Cable, formerly Charter, so I still use the Charter remote. My remote only needed 3 digits and I have noticed that many need 4 or 5. I can tell you that the LG code worked for my tv. I can power on/off, volume, and change the channel. All other functions require the manufacture's remote. The code I used is 005. There was also 004 but that did not work on my tv. Hope this helps someone!
