You should be able to do that as long as you have the right cable.

Most of the mp3 players have a "mini-stereo" jack (3.5mm) and some car stereos have the same type of jack for "aux" input, and others car stereos have RCA jacks for the "aux" input.

Even if the jacks are not the same type, you can use an adapter cable that converts the mini-stereo jack to an RCA jack. You can find them at many places like Best Buy, Circuit City or Radio Shack.

Depending on the type of car stereo you have, you would normally press the source button to change between the tuner, cd player, aux or whatever you may have connected to the stereo. You may even have a seperate button to press for the "aux" input.

I hope this was helpful to you, if you need more information just ask, and please give more info on the type of mp3 player and the make and model number of the car stereo.

How do I get the MP3 player to work in a 2007 Nissan Quest?

you said CAN , i bet you meant CAN'T or CAN NOT. right?
the AUX port is just a line input, analog audio input,
it dont know MP3 .
it only amplies the analog audio found there.
you connect any device, to AUX. push play on the device.
then put car radio in to AUX input mode and play. the audio.
that is all there is to it.
the external device does all the heavy lifting, reading a file, and decoding it (mp3 decode) and then sends raw analog audio out.

the cable is sold and radioshack, or walfart or many other stores,
Target, most MP3 players, come with this cable,
they use mini phone plugs, stereo, type,. (3 contacts)

Can I play music off my HTC phone on this radio

yes. You will be able to play music from your phone using the USB cable and the aux cable into the headphone jack. Either of those methods will work.

I cant find the aux plug for my 2002 chevy malibu. it says on one of the buttons cd/aux so that makes me think there is a plug in. it is the standard radio that the car was made with.

when the button says cd/aux it means that the socket on the back of the unit will TAKE a cd OR some other pre aplified source of music,NOT that you have BOTH.Some more modern units have a six stacker cd unit built in PLUS a socket for an MP3 player on the FRONT.

Engine noise through sirius

First check fo good ground on lighter socket sometimes manufacture's use whats called a floating ground which is one wire connecting every socket for a ground . This creates what is called a ground loop and can create noise. Instead of rewiring try an inline noise filter. check with your local car audio store. Hope this helps. If not write back.

Need to use Aux function with Satellite Tuner installed.

Yes, you will need to consult your owners manual (if you don't have one try Kenwoods website). AUX functions are turned ON during initial setup (like when you set the time).
