I want to upgrade my CPU capacity from 1.2 GHZ and want to know my motherboard so much support??? my motherboard is GA-8IDX (845 chipset)

If you go to CPU-Upgrade.com, you can see all of the different processors that are compatible with your motherboard:

http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Gigabyte/GA-8IDX.html

The ones highlighted in pink are not supported for your motherboard, the ones highlighted in orange may or may not be, and all the ones in white are compatible with your motherboard. It looks like you have several high-end options, up to 2.8 GHz.

I want to install win xp in my laptop cq60-104tu but it shows always a BSOD. i m not able to disable the native sata from bios as it does not have that option in its system configuration. please help to...

hi there is a way of doing this but its a bit of a pain, you will have to create a customized windows xp disk which is quite involved, i had the same problem as i have a new laptop and it had vista on it but i preferred xp you have to get a program called nLite that you can create a image file of the original windows cd and then add your laptop specific drivers for the sata controller as i gather this is not a very old laptop such as mine, windows xp does not recognize sata drives as boot drives, you can download your drivers from gigabyte and insert them into the windows disk image, there is comprhensive instructions in nLite on how to do this, and it is quite simple even for someone with hardly any computer knowledge....hope this helps

Hello amanoj65,

I'm not sure that 845 is the right identification for that motherboard, but Gigabyte has a terrific site for downloading HERE. You will need to answer a few questions about the motherboard but I'm sure you'll find what your looking for.

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating.
