If TV is manually turn off, the remote may not work. Have to manually start the TV then urn off with remote to turn on with remote. You might also change the batteries in remote(within ten minutes of removing b batteries to save the codes in universal remotes).

Pioneer vsx1020 wont turn on with telly,if I unplug 15 min from power point does but when turn off telly turn off amp which is good, but if I turn on once again the telly, amp wont turn on

If your Pioneer VSX-1020 receiver is not turning on along with your television, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the power connections: Ensure that the receiver is properly plugged into a power outlet and that the power cable is securely connected to the back of the unit. Also, check if the power outlet is functioning properly by plugging in another device.
  2. Reset the receiver: Perform a soft reset by turning off the receiver, unplugging it from the power source, and waiting for about 15 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset any temporary glitches or issues with the receiver's electronics.
  3. Check the remote control settings: Verify that the remote control is properly set up to control both the television and the receiver. Make sure you have followed the instructions in the receiver's manual for programming the remote control to work with your specific television brand.
  4. Test with a different HDMI cable: If you are using an HDMI connection between the receiver and the television, try using a different HDMI cable to rule out any potential cable issues. Sometimes, a faulty cable can prevent the devices from properly communicating.
  5. Update the firmware: Visit the Pioneer website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your receiver model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve overall performance.
  6. Contact customer support: If the issue persists, it may be best to contact Pioneer's customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps or advise on whether the receiver may require servicing or repair.
Remember to consult the receiver's manual for additional troubleshooting steps and to ensure you are following the correct procedures for your specific model.

I turn on tv. There is sound but no video.

hi, if you have a device plugged into the telly that gives you the picture such as sky or cable then the best thing to do is disconnect this device from the back of your telly then switch the telly and this device off at the mains, then re-fit all the cables making sure they are connected properly then switch it all on.

now check if you have sound also make sure the tells is on the correct input for that decice and also make sure the mute button has not been pressed on the telly remote or on the remote of the device you use to watch telly, if after doing all that it still dont work then the chances are something has blown on the amp in the telly.

make sure you double check all the leads going into the telly to rule out a faulty lead causing you the problems

Video input

Hi the only slight chancer you have of doing this without the remote and this will only work with some tellys is to have the telly switched on then the device you have connected to the video input have this switched off at the wall then with the telly on switch the device on your trying to get the telly to pick up now some tellys will pick up the signal and go to that input channel, if how ever this dont work your going to need to go out and buy an all in 1 remote, these remotes cost next to nothing to buy you can get them off the well known auction site or from your nearest cheap shop such as discount stores that sell goods for next to nothing these remotes will work on all tellys and would solve your problem if the way i told you dont work.

Im sorry their is no easy way to get it to change but without the remote your pretty much stuck unless on the telly you have a button that looks like a square with an arrow running from left to right if you have this button then pressing this wil change the input source for you, if you dont have this then the only option would be an all 4 1 remote.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

I cannot get my universal remote to work!!! we have tried everything and it will change the channel once and then it doesnt work. i have tried all the combo codes and im getting really mad!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi have you tried manually searching for the frequency like it says in manual untill it turns the telly off then store this frequency in the control if this still dont solve your problem then the remote is faulty because if your telly is listed in the code sheet then it will work on the telly if not then the control is faulty so take it back and get a replacement ok.

What make and model is your remote?
