The bucket full light flashes even though its empty and inserted correctly and the humidity level is stuck at 1%. The unit as a whole just seemed to stop working.
Re: The bucket full light flashes even though its empty...
I have the exact same problem. I suspect this is the same as the "CH 01" problem others had with a different unit that seemed to be the bucket switch. I still need to confirm.

If the bucket is in place correctly, turn the unit OFF & unplug it for 10 minutes. This should allow the electronics to rest and revert back to the original factory setting after you plug it back in and turn it ON. From there you should be able reset the controls to your liking.
Actually, it's probably doing what it should. Let me explain: Dehumidifiers run until they have lowered the humidity/moisture level to where you have the humidity extraction level set. At that point, the unit shuts OFF, until senses the humidity level has risen above where you set the level and it turns ON again. That doesn't mean the bucket will always be full when it shuts OFF. It may turn ON & OFF many times before the bucket is full. Watch for the Bucket Full Light to illuminate. That's when the bucket is FULL and needs to be emptied.
Hope this helped you understand how the unit works.
This
usually happens when either the Float Valve in the bucket is stuck in
the UP position (if yours is so equipped. Jiggle it to get it to return
to the DOWN position.
If you humidifier's bucket is not so
equipped. It's usually an indication that the bucket was not
reinstalled properly, after it was removed. To check and correct this,
turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit. Remove the
bucket and reinsert it, making sure that it fits "squarely" in the
bucket holder from Top to Bottom. Once installed, make sure the bottom
of the bucket is not tilted down in any way. Plug the unit back in and
turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. If it was reinstalled correctly,
the bucket full light should have gone off and the unit will run as it
should, if the humidity extraction level is set low enough.

Two things generally cause this problem. If your unit has a Float Valve inside the bucket, it's stuck in the 'Up' position, which under normal conditions, indicates to the unit, that the bucket is FULL. If you don't have that, then when the bucket was last inserted into the bucket holder, it did not trip the bucket removal safety switch. Remove the bucket and reinstall it, making sure that it fits squarely into the hole from top to bottom. Leave the unit ON when you do this, because if you do it correctly, the unit will automatically start and run. Also, be sure that humidity extraction level is set on 32 - 35 %.

Generally, when this occurs, it is a result of misalignment of the placement of the water collection bucket. Remove the bucket, an reinstall it into the dehumidifier making sure that it makes proper contact with the bucket safety trigger switch. If you do this while the unit is turned ON and the humidity extraction level is set low enough, the compressor will turn ON when the bucket is properly installed. Also, check the float valve in the bucket (if yours has one) to make sure it is not stuck in the 'UP' position.

My first thought is that there's not enough moisture/humidity in the air, for the setting you have the humidifier set on. The higher the setting or percentage (i.e. 60%) means that the level you want to maintain. Which may be find in the cod winter months. In the Hot summer months, you want as low a level of humidity as possible (i.e. 45%).
My second thought is that the air intake filter and the coolant coils need cleaning, since it has been used in 2 years. It's just sat around gathering dust and spiders.
And finally, the collection bucket, may not be inserted properly and when the unit starts up the vibration dislodges the bucket just enough, so that it's not making contact with the safety switch. Sometimes when this happens, the Full light indicator will come ON, even if the bucket is empty.
Hope this helps you to start troubleshooting the problem. Please let me know.
Take out the bucket and locate the bucket full switch inside the cabinet. Depress the switch and see if it comes on. If so, you may have to add a shim to the bucket or strap it in with a bungie cord as the bucket is jiggling and makes the unit think that it has been removed.
