How do I adjust the brightness on this screen? I have tried the buttons at the bottom edge of the monitor but they don't have any rhyme or reason to their various functions. My monitor sees very faded. Its actually an LG Flatron W1952TQ. Thank you

Adjust screen brightness

Press the OSD ("On Screen Display") button on the bottom-front of the monitor. Use the other nearby buttons to "navigate" through all the settings, to select "Brightness", and to move the level UP/DOWN.
Wait a few seconds, and the OSD will vanish, by itself.

When clicking the auto adjust button, the screen shrinked.

if it is an lcd monitor make sure the refresh rate is set to 60hz and the resolution is at least 1024X768 then try to push auto adjust again. To get to the refresh click on the advanced button when the display properties is open.

Too bright

I just bought an Acer 19 inch this morning and I am assuming you have the same controls on the bottom of monitor. On mine I push the menu button twice....the left arrow once to select the brightness slider.....push the menu button again to turn slider red and active...then use your left or right arrows to adjust brightness...afterwards you use the menu to get you back to the exit button and that's it....I hope Don
