Take top off. you will see drier manifold going across top of machine with stats mounted on it. one or more of these stats is resetteble ie has a little button in the middle. press to reset. some hotpoint have a thermal fuse mounted on the manifold so if present, check this for continuity as well. with top still off, put on dry and check fan working as well. if you get it going and fault reoccurs, then there is a blockage in the drier duct

Could be stat or heater .Remove the top cover, and you will see the heater manifold on the right side of washer drum.
The element and stat/s are located on the top of the manifold box.
You willneed a meter to test with, also check for broken wires.
Hi, that indicates that either the fan motor is not working/ blocked or the dryer thermistor (thermostatic sensor) is playing up. Of course, the pcb reads the sensor so it could also be that causing the error.
Most washers made today, are cold fill only, best way to check is look at rear of washer, and if there is only one hose, then it is cold fill only, if 2 hoses, then hot and cold fill..
So if your boiler is not working, then it should be o/k to use if cold fill only.

The sensor are malfunction/ test the sesor w/multi tester test both terminal if does respond or reading sensor open/ mostly malfunction of drier are sensor /the element will not glow or hot if sensor is the problem.
