What does HD ready mean? Is my Sony Bravia LCD acctually an HD TV or not?

This is the main fault, that most Sony LCD TVs. The actual cause is with a faulty T'Con board. For most Sony LCD sets, this part [T'Con board]; will be a built in part with its display panel, and can't be replaced. Display panel replacement is the only repair work. hi if your tv is KLV-40V300A with 6x blink then the inverter board is defective replace the inverter board & tv will become ok

You can use any type of amp system you can afford.

On the original SONY remote press display to remove that---if left on long enough it will actually burn that image into the screen--button on almost any Sony Tv remote will remove or clear it.

This tv have the capabillity for the Full HD max resolution 1080i or 1080p.The problems u have is not the tv capabilities.The tv incomming broadcasting signals are vary like DTV,SD,480i,720i low end HD.Max HD resolutions are 1080p or 1080i.

You can try online but the chances of getting a counterfeit bulb are high. They don't last very long....
