I haave tried facebook and at age 65 it is not for me. I went online and defriended everyone but I want rid of facebook. how do i get face book gone completely on my computer

To delete your account, first login to face book then click this link and proceed with the deletion of your face book account. Be careful though, it first deactivates your account for two weeks, but if you log in to your account again within those two weeks, it will reactivate it.
Given you don't log back in for those two weeks, it will then permanently delete the account.

As others have suggested, I would recommend clearing your browser cache. Also try using a different browser and see if you can access your Facebook that way. If you're using IE8, I'd recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox. Are you able to browse other websites as well or is it just your friends Facebook. It may also be that your computer was infected with some malware or virus. If that's the case, you can try running an anti virus or even a free online virus scan like Trend Micro's Housecall > Free Online Virus Scan Antivirus Software Trend Micro USA

Somebody hacked my email and unlinked it from Facebook now I'm locked out.

I wish someone would do that to the entire world lolo I hate face book and the way they collect everyones information. personaly think your lucky !

How to delete facebook

You can't fully delete your Facebook. You can only deactivate but once you join Facebook again all your information will still be there.

i suggest you defriend everyone, change your details to a random name, delete all your posts, images, messages one by one before you delete/deactivate your Facebook account.

If you recently deactivated your account then it is normal that these problem occurs after activation so wait for few days or contact Facebook help center for this issue through a form.
if this not the case then it might be possible that your account has been hacked by someone and that person deleted you profile picture and removed your friends from your friend list.

Recently google disable this feature for face book,so now go to OTHER TOOLS at face book,you will find a link to upload your csv file directly and you can check who is on face book,add them to your friends,DONE.
