If this is the vehicle's factory alarm that is being triggered then your factory alarm must be disarmed prior to the remote starter sequence. The Autopage unit has a factory disarm wire available for this purpose. When the alarm triggers again try turning the key in the driver's door to see if there is a factory disarm wire available in the vehicle or if the factory alarm is RF disarm only. If it is the after market alarm that is being triggered then you made need to decrease the sensitivity.

look under the dash for a small silver toggle switch....this is a disable switch for the remote start portion of the system..you may have kicked it / bumped it with your foot, causing the remote start portion to be deactivated. Just flip the switch the opposite way and try again..
Also, there may have been a pin style switch installed under the hood...Check to see if it is bent or broken, if it is, simply disconnect it and insulate the wire that was going to it.
This wire is used as a safety to keep the vehicle from remote starting while the hood is up..to keep people from being injured if the remote start is activated while the engine is being worked on.
Have whatever shop installed the system replace your pinswitch if that is the problem.

It sounds as if your vehicle's factory alarm is not disarming before the remote start sequence. You will have to disarm the factory alarm before start. On most vehicles there is a disarm wire, usually in the door that operates with the key cylinder. To test, probe the wire at the key cylinder while unlocking the door with the key. Some vehicles have the disarm wire in the driver's kick panel, but they operate the same way (with the key cylinder). Other vehicles can be disarmed with pulsing the key sense wire. Some vehicles do not have a factory alarm disarm wire,i.e. some Subaru and GM cars and trucks. They can only be disarmed through data modules. More information on the year/make/model of your vehicle will be needed to accurately solve your problem.
