I had the same problem with my olevia 242-T11. I flashed it with the wrong firmware and the TV would not even turn on. The blue LED light would still light up and my PC would still recognize a connection when i hooked it up to the USB cable connected to the TV.

I was fortunate to download the appropriate software. The software is called MTK_DownLoad1.exe. I know this is the correct software to use for Olevia 242-T11 and Olevia 237T. I do not know if this will work with other models.

Here is the link to the MTK_DownLoad1.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/17475900...load1.zip.html

You will also need to install the USB to Serial driver before you are able to use the MTK Download Utility. The USB Driver is located at
http://rapidshare.com/files/17475900...river.zip.html

BE SURE ONLY TO UPDATE YOUR TV WITH THE CORRECT SOFTWARE OR YOU WILL BRICK IT. I was lucky enough to recover my TV and finally able to upgrade it to the correct firmware but my TV was non functional for about a week and this has been a huge headache and if i could go back in time i would definitely not do it so please ask yourself if its even worth it risking upgrading the firmware of a TV who parent company is reorganizing after declaring bankruptcy.

If you still want to do this, here are the firmwares for all the various Olevia models.

http://olevia.ftpaccess.cc/support/OLEVIA/

I hope this helps all the people who need to recover / unbrick their Olevia TV's. If the links are down or you need any help please ask for help in avsforums. My id is sammykismail on avsforums and i will try my best to help you.

I found my laptop's usb speed was too fast (2.0) for the tv's flash so I used an older portable usb hub (1.0) an I was able to get the update to work.

My phillips hdtv turns on with blue light but no picture and wont turn off unless its unplugged remote and buttons dont work either

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Hp desktop blinking green light won't come on

mine does that when it's in stand-by mode. I just push the power button and it comes on....

Assuming you've already tried that....push and hold the power-button down for 5 seconds and the power SHOULD go out. *IF* it does not, then disconnect the power cord in the back for 1min....then reconnect and try to boot. If it *DOES*, then do the same...unplug the power cord for 1min and reconnect and boot.

Tv has power in stand by mode but no power or blue led light when trying to turn on. it seems the tv has no power

Unplug the T.V. and hold the power button down for 30-60 seconds. Plug the T.V. back in and try powering on. If it still doesn't power on then you may need a firmware update, or something on the board has gone bad such as the power supply or capacitors. You can take off the back of the T.V. and look for any swollen capacitors on the board and see if the power supply looks ok.

My phone jus shut off by itself n now it wont turn on. everytime i push the power buton a blue light comes on but the phone doesnt

its odd that it's a blue light, its usually red. if i were you i would try reflashing the firmware. try turning it on in bootloader mode (hold the camera button while powering on it should boot into a rainbow screen ) if that doesnt work then youre screwed, if it does, then you need to find a way to get an official update.zip file or dreaimg.nbh onto the base of your sd card (not in a folder) if you use dreaimg.nbh it will downgrade to the very first release of android, and should update within a couple of days, or you can read up on how to flash firmware and find official updates to download just look on google, theyre all over the place.

Playstation 3 turns off for every ten seconds and I can't update!

HI. You will need to Clear Any Failed system updates that cause the console to error. Use this procedure to acheive this .
  • With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)
  • While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console
  • Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.
  • During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Powers off by itself

You need a firmware upgrade that has to be done by a tech onsite. I've done many of them. 12 Blue blinks is a TVGuide download trouble and doesn't hurt the set but a firmware update should solve it. If it occurs again after that you need the Main Assy replaced but make sure the firmware is updated on that also.
Problem will go away
Hope this helps
