AV cables reversed perhaps. Sounds like VIDEO (Yellow, Green, Blue or Red) cable is plugged into the AUDIO section. Perhaps you have switched the RED (Left audio) cable plugged into the RED (Component) Video cables. This would account for the loud buzz and since the set isn't getting an image it goes into standby mode. Just a thought.

Since it sounds like an issue with the Power first try to release flea power.Disconnect the charger,remove battery,press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.Reconnect the battery and charger.Turn on system and check if it turns on. For further help please check Dell Inspiron 1525 Manual. Also confirm if the light on the charger stays on,when connected to the system.

Toshiba 62HM195, Loud hum noise when TV is first turned on.

I have the exact TV and had the exact same problems. It is the light engine with color wheel that needs to be replaced, and they are VERY hard to come by for this model. Our repairman has had our TV for 5 months and still cannot locate a vendor that carries the part. He said according to Toshiba, the part has been discontinued. If you happen to find one, please post. I'll do the same.

Hi, your color wheel needs to be replaced, the bearings fail causing the grinding noise, the new ones use "air bearings" so they are supposed to last much longer, video-tek

i also have the same problem with the flashing green light for a while then a different red light starts blinking on and off around 5 times....and i replaced my burnt bulb with a new one...still no picture.
