Evening: I have had my data link for about 3 years. The battery went dead so I went to a watch repair place to have the battery replaced. The watch works great, BUT it doer not beep. All the beeps are turned on. What else can it be and where can I get it fixed near Lawrenceville GA 30046-6224. I love the USB connection. Thanks for your help Jim Albertson

Same thing happened to me, took watch to watch shop, they changed the battery and the chimes stopped working. Simple fix, the faceplate was put back on wrong. Unscrew the face plate and turn it upside down (or right side up depending on your POV) the circle on the inside of the faceplate will line up with the springs inside the watch and the chimes will start working again. If you have a pair of eyeglasses screwdrivers, like I did, you can do this yourself.

Pulsar analog/digital watch model number 130139

Clearly, it is faulty and has some type of parasitic drain. All watch batteries should last a couple of years. My Seiko last for about 3 to 4 years. Return it to Pulsar or a repair agent for repair.

Why would a tissot t-touch need an overhaul to replace a dead battery

These babies are notorious for going down the tubes with a battery change. I bet if you get it back it won't work with a new battery. Twice I have replaced batteries and the watch didn't work when I finished. One of them was my own watch, I think $450 is about half the price of a new watch and that is sad. Cool watch just not very long life

Screen went dead, watch is 3 months old

This is a case the watch should returned to the place of purchase, the battery is bad, or the timing module has failed, there is nothing that can be done but return it and let them deal with it.

I have had my garmin forerunner 205 since end of May 2010. It recently started taking longer than normal to find satelites. On my last run it came up as saying battery low when I had only just charged and...

You need to contact Garmin and have them replace or repair the watch. If the watch is less than a year old, it will be under warranty. Older than a year it may be a repair or replace only situation, Garmin will have to determine that. It is not unusual for the forerunner series to have rechargeable batteries that die off.

I haven't used for a couple of years and battery apears to be dead. How can I replace?

To maintain the warranty and ensure that you do not have any problems with the seals. It is recommended to send your watch in to an Authoriozed Polar Service Center. Doing anything else will void the warranty.

it is possible to change the battery yourself or have a watch repair place do it, but you or they will not have the vaccuum sealer to repressurize the seal, and any moisture that gets in there will do damage to the CPU. A little extra tip, when you send in your watch to polar there is a 3 month warranty on that service if anything goes wrong, and it happens quite frequently outside of the system, seen it many times.

There is no display on the watch at all, like the battery is dead but it is less than a year old. Is there some combination of buttons to push?

mcdevito75 here, Sorry, but a watch battery that is less than 1 year old can still be weak or dead, You have to try a new battery first. Battery could have gotton loose, or have dirty contacts. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area. It"s possible you shut the watch off also, Press and hold the MODE button 2-3 seconds see if the display comes back.

Battery reads 2.85 is it dead?

I am assuming you have a lithium battery and they test good at 3. Since they can die off slowly i would replace it as it may not have enough to power your watch. These will typically need to be replaced about every two years or so.

Changed dead batteries on PAG-40. Still one dead watch

There is a very small sticker with very small red print just adjacent to the battery compartment. This little sticker states "once batteries are replaced, you need to touch AC with tweezers". I did it with metal tweezers and the watch display came to life. Good luck!
